Matt and Clare went to the theatre to see The Far Pavilions last night. Clare enjoyed it very much. Matt put up with Clare.
This morning for the first time the Metropolitan Police searched Matt's bag on the Underground.
Today Matt attended a sermon by Sheikh Abdul Qayum, the Imam of East London Mosque.
2 Comments:
What did the police find in Matt's bag?
What did Sheikh Abdul Qayum have to say for himself? And what did Matt think about it?
Enquiring minds are desperate to know...

The police found in Matt's bag a pair of running shoes.
The Imam said:
‘No action ordained by Allah takes place without his infinite wisdom or careful planning... Some of these reasons behind Allah's creation may be beyond human knowledge... The prophet (pbuh) said: "If Allah favours someone, He sends his way trials [to test and increase his faith]". That is why the prophets were the most afflicted people and bore the worst kind of misfortunes and dejection. They were tormented by tyrants and expelled from their homelands by their enemies... The believers may experience all sorts of hardships in this life, but on the Day of Judgement they come free from sins... Allah is most merciful and just, and does not take away an advantage from any of his servants without compensating him or her fully for it. Therefore, their worth comes from being a part of Allah's plan.’
Matt was reminded of the Calvinist theology that he studied at Oxford.
Take care, Reprehensible.
